Healing By Growing™ (HBG) Farms 4th Annual National Conference - Wednesday, May 6, 2026

Join us for a vital gathering that brings together the heartbeat of our food system: farmers, food industry providers, health and human service professionals, community and faith-based groups, brain injury and trauma survivors, and our Youth Ambassadors—the next generation of growers. We are convening to share healing and empowering stories, learn new knowledge, and access vital resources.

This Year’s Theme & Keynote: Mycelium Trust

Just as the unseen mycelial network supports the health of the entire forest, we believe that the strength of our agricultural community lies in our connections.

To anchor this year's theme, Mycelium Trust, we are honored to welcome Keynote Speaker Amy Blaymore Paterson of the Connecticut Land Conservation Council. Amy will guide us through the critical role of Land Trusts and Accessible Open Spaces, illustrating how they act as the underground "trust" that stabilizes us. Her address will highlight how these protected spaces allow Farmer Health and participants of all abilities to flourish above ground, making these hidden networks visible and accessible to all.

Conference Tracks

Throughout the conference program, we will dive into four core tracks designed to build capacity and community:

  1. Farmer & Grower Health: Focusing on mental health, physical safety, and holistic healing for growers and survivors.

  2. Youth Ambassadors: Empowering the next generation of leaders in agriculture, environmental stewardship, and self-healing—introducing the new Agri-Youth Certification Program.

  3. Community Faith Allies: Building the spiritual and community networks that support deep healing within our communities.

  4. The Grower's Toolkit: Practical sessions on e-commerce and essential business skills to build farm viability.

Together, we will explore building coping mechanisms, bridging food security gaps, and opening doors for land access. Join us in building a more resilient, inclusive, and thriving agricultural, aquaculture, and forestry community where every voice is heard—regardless of ability.
